The Bystraya (Malkinskaya) is situated in the central part of peninsula. It is a right tributary of the Bolshaya river system, which is the largest on the west cost of Kamchatka and the second longest river on peninsula.
In the are of upper section of the route the river width varies from 20 to 40 m, in the lower currents it my reach 50-100 m. The river is 1.5 – 8 m depth, flow speed is 1.5 – 1.9 m/s, water temperature is 5-8 °Ñ.
The river runs in the valley through the Sredinny and Gannalsky mountain ranges, then passes over the Sredinny one to The Western Kamchatka lowland, where a lot of islands cut the river into channels. In the mid flow there are three simple rapids. Rafting is going in wild nature where woods mountain landscapes change to plain sceneries. Length of the rafting section is 94 km.

3 days itinerary.

Day 1. Drive by an off-road car to the Malki village. Start floating.

Day 2. Fishing with rafting.

Day 3. Rafting down to the bridge on the highway “Petropavlovsk – Ust-Bolsheretsk”. Return to Petropavlovsk.
